Fly the Tatras

Soar the ridges above the High Tatras by glider or take a tandem paraglider over Zakopane — with launches on both the Polish and Slovak sides.

The Tatras rise sharply on the Polish–Slovak border, and the flying reflects it: strong ridge and wave soaring for gliders and dramatic tandem paragliding above Zakopane. Most people heading here base themselves in Zakopane or Kraków and travel out to a launch — Nowy Targ and Bielsko-Biała on the Polish side, Poprad on the Slovak. If your town has no launch of its own, tell us where you'll be and how far you'll travel; we'll point you to what's in range.
